Welcome to "I found a banded bird!"

***Please bear with me while I get this set up***

I found a banded bird was created so people could share the stories behind birds with bands. We'll see where this goes - hopefully we can provide a fun spot for researchers and band reporters alike to enjoy the feedback of science. Until further notice, there will probably only be 2-3 posts per month, so you may want to add this to an RSS feed for ease of checking updates.

If you have found us because you found a banded bird, you can go to the USGS Bird Banding Laboratory for more information about bird banding... to report a band directly, reportband.gov is for reporting birds with metal band. For birds with color markers, with or without metal bands, click here.
